At the grocery store yesterday, saw a couple with church of Satan tee shirts. I walked over flashed a ? and said Hail Satan. They looked bumfuddled. Boy I hate phonies.

Since the church of Satan doesn't actually worship Satan or any other personal devil, on one level I understand their confusion. However ... I can't imagine being an open member of that group for any length of time and not experiencing that someone thinks you believe in and worship Satan. The in-your-face provocative nature of the group name is supposed to be part of its appeal.
