Given today's undeniable evidence of Russian GRU involvement in the DNC hacking and of GRU contacts with Americans during that time, the Republicans' attempts to discredit the FBI and the Mueller investigations need to stop NOW. Otherwise, they must be viewed as treasonous fellow travelers of Putin and Russia.
Especially given today's indictments, for Trump to meet with Putin, particularly in private, constitutes collusion and treason in and of itself. If he doesn't call the meeting off (and I'd be astonished if he did), it will just be more evidence of his complicity and part of the mounting corpus of evidence that he is nothing more than a Russian puppet.
That's why the GOP delegation went to Moscow last week - to get their report card and further instructions.
I wonder when the Republican Congressional candidate who sought this information will be named? I will be interested in knowing there identity. I also wonder how this will play out with the Putin summit only two days away.
Good questions. If Trump were acting in the USA's interests, he would cancel the meeting with Putin. I do not believe that he will do that, as he is already too deep in Putin's pocket. Trump is a greedy, malevolent traitor!!. At this stage, every misstep he makes is moving him toward impeachment in spite of the Republicans and of the evangelicals.
Let us hope that this will eventually discredit both the Republicans and the evangelicals (n addition to putting Trump in prison for the rest of his life.)
@wordywalt Prison? firing squad, please
@starwatcher-al I would prefer prison to make the malignancy suffer more and longer.
@wordywalt but we'll have to pay much to keep him in the lifestyle he is accustomed to.
@starwatcher-al I don't think any of us wants to keep him in that lifestyle, but make him live in a small cell with no comforts. That is part of the punishment and of the pain for him.
