It's not the education system. It's the society. Inequality creates a class that is alienated and doesn't want to be educated. The Parkland kids, who live in my own School district, are well educated because they come from upper middle class families.

I don't know if you can base one's mental acuity on a handful of trivia questions.

Think about why the oligarchs of the world want us to be ignorant. Think about what's happened to our educational system since Bitch D. Vos took over with the mandate to destroy public schools. Ask WHY that should be? Why should the GOP want an uninformed electorate?

You Americans, don’t beat yourselves up here. It is the same problem in other countries. I watch quiz shows on TV in the UK and am appalled at the sheer ignorance on display. I would feel embarrassed to go on national TV and expose my ignorance, but it’s amazing how unaware some people are. The educational standards have certainly slipped since my schooldays, but that was a long time ago.

Not sure how indicative this is. We had a local radio quiz show that specialized in dumb people. One woman was asked what Hitlers 1st name was. After lots of head scratching and clues she finally managed to come up with "heil"
Other stumping questions included "What ship did the mutiny on the Bounty take place on?"

I agree with you that our education system is broken. However, I was a bit offended by the video. The first “stupid” male to show up didn’t appear until 3:58, following a large string of frankly idiot women. I’m not flaming you or anything, I just question the purpose of the production.

Education we get from government schools, and food from private markets. So it is not a surprise that we are on the whole both ignorant and well fed.
