Slightly funny moment for you, I was in my hospital bed around 15 months ago, and out of the blue a priest came to the bed, I had just within 48 hours had a triple heart bypass, in the U.K. it's like being hit by a bus, run over by a steamroller and then hit by the biggest truck you can imagine and then they hit you all over again and again.
Lying there, like death warmed up, sunk into the mattress, full of morphine yet still in agony, I had enough brain power and control to say, "Beat your feet priest your not welcome here". The priest left far quicker than he arrived and the rest of the patience and a few nurses gave me dirty looks, I simply said " and **** you too, idiots"
Here is another slightly funny moment for you all.
In court, (not accused nor did I do any thing wrong btw before anyone thinks badly) anyway, in court and on the stand I'm presented with a bible and the oath to say, I leaned forward a bit and said to the clerk "I'm an atheist", "oh" he said, "your down as c of e".
I replied in the only way I could really,
"I can't be blamed for my parents misguidance now can I ?"
The clerk gave me an acknowledged grin and a nod and went to fetch the non religious oath.
Well done! That is what I would have hoped to do too!
