The Freedom From Religion Foundation is having their national convention in San Francisco November 2-4, 2018. @Admin said that if a large number of us plan to attend, they will sponsor a booth there. If you are willing to commit to going, please post asap that you have made a reservation! As Agnostics, Athiests and Anti-thiests, we should be supporting this organization anyhow. Attending, and having agnostics.com represented there can only work in our favor. This would help the site grow, resulting in more members being in closer proximity to each other. And maybe we would be able to buy agnostic.com t-shirts? Or other merchandise? What do all y’all think about doing this? I am willing to go if a bunch of y’all are. Here is info on the convention (I do not know if membership is required.) [ffrf.org]
I'm a ffrf member & would love to be there. Would need to reverse my road trip & be in Oho in last Sept. so that I can pick some grapes. Spend Nov. in CA & then road trip the Southern states in Dec. I sure would love to do it & stay at the South Beach Hotel in China Town.
@MissKathleen You are getting me to think about how to do this road trip differently. I like that.......thinking.....
What I wouldn't give to be able to go, but I live on disability, and I simply can't afford to travel.
Although it rather sucks to not being to go to the FFRF convention,and San Fran Is one of my favorite places I've been to. along with many other things, there are many places that have some of the best food I've ever had.
I have already registered. This will be my 6th convention with FFRF. I am willing to help.
@MissKathleen Also, I have booked a double room and am willing to share. All I ask is that the other person not be a snorer.
@MissKathleen Unless one has a partner or wakes oneself up I don't really know. I do know, from other partners, I don't. I was planning on sharing with my friend, whose husband just died from Parkinson's but I have stayed with them and do know she snores. She admitted it and got a room of her own (which she will share with her daughter). Maybe you could record yourself. Here is a statistic I found: [sleepdisordersguide.com]
@MissKathleen okay.
I am willing to attend if there's enough interest.
