They say you should learn something every day. What have you learned today?
I've been learning new ways to teach things at work - methods that for me are much improved over previous efforts. I'm learning how to let work not dominate my time from my cat. Those two may seem small to others, but the amount of happiness in my life is much more.
I learned that tag stood for touch and go, I don't even remember thinking about it . Maybe I'm just too old?
Well today specifically I spent all afternoon in a Human Resources conference learning about laws regarding employing trans people....it was actually interesting. I learned it's no longer appropriate to call someonea homosexual and to call them gay instead, which is the opposite of how it was a few years back.
After book club, when stacking heavy metal chairs, use both hands.
Using one hand, a metal chair fell on my foot today, deeply bruising the bones. The top of my foot is badly swollen and painful. Hope it didn't break a bone.
Ouch!! I hope it heals quickly.

Thanks, Sara. Ibuprofen and icing it has helped a lot.
I learned a fair amount about the conjunction of Buddhist practice and cognitive science. From this very site, as a matter of fact. And to be careful around my son's dog--he's very rowdy.
That's cool. This site had a lot of interesting feeds.
I received a promotion at work a few weeks ago and have finally transitioned over full time. I am learning all sorts of new things. It's one of my favorite things about my line of work, IT. Nothing ever stays the same and if I don't learn something every day, I'm not doing my job.
I learned a little bit about pre-workout supplements.
I learned that I'm not going to make my savings goals and am changing my saving and spending behavior to adjust.
