JMO but those kinds of remarks out of context are a turn off to me so I try hard not to do them.
What am I going to do, recycle compliments from my past? I've done dumb things like repeat some here now & then. That's bad enough. lol

It's really up to the other person if they find something to be impressed about and tooting ones own horn has never impressed me so I try hard not to do it myself.

e.g. For sure DO NOT SAY "I"m 5'11" when I'm staring you dead in the face with no shoes on ? I know I'm not that tall!(5'5!) Yes this just happened! lol

Need a context to talk, not the kind to just randomly drop in and start a chat.
