"Animals have only one life that is just as important to them as ours is to us".

Animal abuse, including industrial, should be a felony.

Very true and there isn't any reason today to hunt and I am a gun owner for 60 years never hunted except for men.

We have teeth in our mouths genetically designed to tear flesh from bone. We are omnivores, and like it or not, meat has always been an option for our species. Should we eat meat every day? Probably not. Should we learn more about where our meat comes from? Absolutely. But vegetarianism is not my path, and I have no qualms about that choice.

Yes.

Start first with the savage act of hunting animals and shooting, trapping or bow and arrow, it is abuse at the highest levels. Wounding many an animal to die a slow , painful death is disgusting.

I agree completely. And the food industry, knowing the conditions animals have to live in. They raise a chicken from chick to full grown for our consumption in less than 30 days makes me sick. Inhumane.

Absolutely. Animal cruelty/abuse should be treated no differently than child abuse and cruelty. But i also hunch that i would be in the minority with that view.

Anyway, in those jurisdictions which also fail to adequately protect children, and they are many, i don't know whether such laws would make any difference. ?

I've had two years where the only meat I consumed was what I hunted or what I knew came from humane farms. Hopefully I'll go back to that permanently in 2-3 years.

Totally agree.
