I'd love to have the translator tell all, but it has been pointed out that this is a dangerous precedent that would affect negotiations for a long time hence. Plus, he might be bought off to lie about it all.

The sitting US president should never be allowed to meet anyone in true privacy, and in an unaccountable way, be that a dictator or a lobbyist or a member of Congress. Even the appearance of such impropriety does harm, and should be completely avoidable.
The so-called Republican Party has damaged our country so badly, it will take decades to undo. They are nothing but criminals in every sense of the word
