I think both terms, "liberal" and "conservative" have become corrupted by partisan politics; one of the reasons, I believe, many are now looking for third-party options. In today's twisted vernacular, the two aforementioned terms have meanings that equate to "left" and "right, and "ultra" or "alt" in the extremes; all part of the effort by one side to discredit the other. Such a shame it's come to this.
