I may be wrong, but I think "Collateral Beauty" presents an example of the "technique".

Oh really? I know of the movie, but didn't get a chance to see it. I'll have to check it out.

@Georgy303 I wouldn't say it is a "great" movie, but it is, indeed, interesting ("different" ). And the epilogue, though not 100% an unforeseen one, is somewhat unexpected and interesting. If you have the chance to watch it, please send me your comments.

Pay attention to your gut feeling, it will send signals. You just have to be receptive to and trust those feelings.

I stumbled on this article few days ago while researching how to more effectively deal with my narcissistic and vindictive ex-wife. She, literally, broke me down to the core. Now, I see her as a magnificent means of personal growth. I'm truly blessed to have such a foil in my life. Wait and see. I feel Trump may do the exact same thing for America.

Sounds like both my ex and my mother.

Saw this story as a black and white , half hour , TV show decades ago . Can't remember the name of the actress , but she played the lead in each of the assorted stories .

I just found out that the term was inspired by the movie, titled "Gaslight" back in 1944 with Ingrid Bergman, Charles Boyer, and Joseph Cotten as the leads.
