I was so looking forward to my solo fishing trip next week but have realised that I'm not well enough to go. I am physically and mentally exhausted. I stopped smoking a few months ago and have put on a few pounds and am really unfit. I also suffer anxiety disorders and depression along with severe sleep apnea. I have it all against me I guess but at least I can do something about it. The depression makes me just want to hide away and sleep but that way I'll just end up dead so I got up early this morning before it got hot and went for a walk. Just a couple of miles but enough to make me sweat. Hopefully I'll manage it again tomorrow and keep going until I can manage the gym etc.

It probably feels overwhelming at times, like you got too much on your plate. It doesn't have to be that way. As you've already discovered, exercise is a huge first step that can help you with many of those problems that you listed. If it seems still too monumental, talk to your PCP about your depression, anxiety, and sleep apnea. You would be surprised that amount of benefit you can get from the right medications. You don't have to suffer. Keep walking if nothing else. It can be habit forming.
