Only to share my frustration...

I love to be a woman but, sometimes I would like to be 6 feet tall and ti have a very scary mustache🙂

After going through the removal / replacement of two AC sleeves....which made my place a mess....the real problem started. Yes, getting a new AC for the living-room. I was treated condescendingly in Best Buy, PC Richards...and in Home Depot. Guys, women are not ignorant about the construction / remodeling business....not only I informed myself about the product I need but I brought the constructor specs. Gee, one of the sales person wanted me to believe 110 vlts was the same as 220 vlts.
Luckily, a manager at HD (used to be my student) recognized me and helped me all the way. Too bad the AC I need is in back order

I used to think having your vehicle serviced or repaired was bad,Women are viewed as being not too knowledgeable about vehicle service,forgetting oil changes or brake service,things a Man in their life would do for them,but the Divorced and Widowed Woman, with few Men friends are prime targets,for unneeded services or parts,preying on Womens fears.

I know...and that's the reason I never told my mechanic (He is en The Bronx) that my husband passed. I always say "OK, I will consult with Lew." and then I ask a male friend to call the mechanic with "few questions". Two out of three times the repairs originally suggested are not as many....like an "originally" broken bracket ended up being a lose screw.

@DUCHESSA Yes,do not be naive about any vehicle servicing,as you mentioned,ask your male friends on advice,otherwise $$$$.

@Mike1947 A male friend brought my car to his mech...and the bill was $325.00 less.
