Just finished The Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul and I have to say I didn't love it. Love loved Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, but found the 2nd installment to lack the whimsical oddities and dreamlike narrative I so enjoyed in the first. But onward!
Read Stephen King's The Green Mile. So good! The last couple of years have brought me back to King, whom I find to be so purely entertaining. Night Shift and The Shining and then Green Mile. Might go back and re-read Pet Semetary - so scary! Now I'm reading Madame Bovary (for the first time, what?!). Next up is John Waters' Role Models.
What are you reading this summer? Do you make use of your public library? And do you ever take your book out with you and read in public?
