I used to live less than a mile from a JW temple/church/whatever and they'd come out in force about 10 times per year. I was never civil with them and I'd always throw away their booklets right in front of them. I've only had one group of Mormons try to visit my home that I can remember - it was weird. Like they were selling something but wouldn't get to the verb. I was a bit annoyed because they woke me up and ignored my No Soliciting sign.

I spent two years as a missionary for the LDS Church in Virginia. I am now a Humanist. I always talk to the Mormon missionaries and Jehovah's Witnesses if they come by. I try to challenge them with an atheist point of view. They need to hear it.

Only if you were closer... I would go every weekend to collect my cookies !! ??

To be honest I don't answer anymore but stair at them through the window so they know I'm there. When I was younger and kinda crazy I got mad at a jw who put his foot in my door when I said I'm not interested. So I took his bible lit it on fire and threw it in the yard. At the time I was young dumb and kinda angry at the world so i wish i hadn't done that now but it was kinda funny watching him run out to his book and start stomping on it to put it out.

Had a JW knocker while I lived in the mountains of Georgia. I think he came about 3 visits and I did my best to send him on with less answers and more questions than he arrived with.
