Once, I met a girl I liked, but she was different. I would be on my balcony looking for her, waiting for her to visit. But when I saw her walking along the path to my flat, I felt a huge pull and push from inside me towards her. I would run down the stairs to open my door. It wasn't love, it wasn't lust, it was chemistry. Like a moth to a flame, a lightning bug to the moon, I was drawn to her in ways I can feel and know but not explain.

I realize now I was being empathic. It ended well enough.

This all sounds so past tense. I'm currently of the opinion we don't get much of a choice in whom we love & that 1/2 of it is chemistry.

I totaly agree.

I guess we've a long way to go to understand the biochemical nature of that type of attraction. It might be related to the biochemical nature of the sixth sense.

You may have known her in a past life.
Researchers (who fact check details of stories told by children ages 2-6 who remember past lives) write that many report that groups of souls tend to reincarnate together in various configurations, and can somewhat recognize each other while in a particular lifetime.

I, also, and my younger sister, were born remembering a past life. I eventually remembered many of them, and even googled a few of the more traumatic events I recalled, finding the details I remembered to be accurate.

If anyone rushes in to troll me, I'll just block you. You can google books of research done on reincarnation, and I own about a dozen of them on Kindle.
