If only...

I think we all have our druthers. My late partner once was a vice director for a private school. They were looking for a minority person to fill the slot of director to show their concern for "diversity". She fit the bill but the acting director spread such hateful rumors she wouldn't have taken the job if asked and she quit. I think too often we place too much emphasis on things other than qualifications. I didn't support Bernie because I felt he was too old, too extreme and we had had enough white males in that position. See, I am also guilty.
