I'm not one much for the whole MMA fighting thing, but this girls story moved me.
This is Rose Namajunas.
She grew up in a rough neighberhood, with an abusive father.
Rather than succumb to drugs or crime like most, she fought to get herself out of there.
She started taking martial arts to get out her frustrations, and focus on something new.
Despite her bad upbringing, she Is a very caring, humble, and generally nice person that cares for others.
She ended up getting so good at her fighting skills she started training to be a MMA fighter.
Most that know her say she is one of the most focused fighters they've seen.
And unlike most of fighters that are all trash talk trying to intimidate their opponents, she just remains, and collected.
She now is the straw weight champion of the world.
Her title fight was against one of the best who is known to be brutal.
Rose was thought of as a tremendous under dog, and she won.
Here are some highlights of the fight.
the second is her after fight interview.
What she says there is very humbling.
I love hearing about people that overcome adversity.
