When my kids were little we walked around our little city everywhere; going to the library, the post office, the store, the parks... a few times we'd sit in the grass and look for 4 leaf clovers. One time, we found 4 of them and my youngest said, its our lucky day! I told him that it wasn't luck, we put in the effort and the time to find these special clovers and they represent that! I sealed them up and put them on the kid's doors to remind them. A decade later they show their age and weathering.
Today, feeling so frustrated with my life, I stopped on my walkway from the mailbox to see if I could spot a lucky clover. I found 3. it's a good day for me to remember my own words. ❤
Sometimes we have to remember the simpler things in life that used to make us happy.
What a good mom! That was back in the day when kids go could on walks, look at clouds, make up games, etc. I'm sure your children remember those ''lucky'' clovers, too!
@pepperjones MMMM...I'm sorry. What's YOUR earliest memory? I can remember my third year and a few quick glimpses of my fourth. Still...those happy memories are in his brain, whether or not he can pull 'em up.
