Got drawn into a religious discussion with an old acquaintance from high school-I generally make a half-hearted attempt to avoid ‘discussions’. I feel it’s mostly a waste of time past a certain point, almost immediately! Anyway, he was arguing that a liar wouldn’t make these stories up because they are so unbelievable, I then shot back “and look, you believe it!” He was talking how crazy the heavens gate people were for their belief in a comet etc.... I asked him how that was any “crazier” than traditional Christianity, this pretty much had him wanting to change the subject. Point! Howitstarts23

I do my best to avoid the arguments unless I am dealing with a reasonable person. Too, frustrating and futile, usually.

Yup. ya can't change them, lets hope they die off in the next few generations if we even have that long.

ha ha, little harsh for me, I'd definitely be happy if political agendas general direction of policies weren't influenced by 'god'
I'm still:live and let live

@Howitstarts23 that's ok for you but they will not "live and let live" They want in our lives in so many ways, too many to note here. Just ask any thinking , feeling woman.

@starwatcher-al how's the skies in Arizona? I bet wonderful for astronomy type things

@Howitstarts23 Clear, actually I'm going back out to look at Mars, already saw Jupiter and Saturn and the view is unusually sharp and clear with cloud belts and zones on Jupiter showing good detail. On saturn cassini's division in the rings is visible the entire arc of the rings and the ball of Saturn is showing a cloud belt.

@starwatcher-al awesome
