I made this known in Walmart tonight by asking if I had to have a photo ID to buy groceries. I even said that Trump made the remark in Tampa at a rally last Tuesday, so it must be true. Walmart employees were dumbfounded but a man in front of me wearing a 9 mm on his hip busted out laughing. We smiled at each other and he was maybe the only one that got it.

This is a shopper ID that was used by a Russian when she lived in Russia. She said about it:
Ok folks.
This is my actual 'shopper' ID from my Soviet Life (1990).
By presenting it I was given monthly allotment of grains, sugar, flour, vodka etc. No ID - no groceries.
Now you know where trump gets his ideas...

So if Russians are writing Trump's speeches for him they could easily make a mistake like this, right?

I find your idea about this very interesting. It should be checked into.
Trump believes Americans need ID to buy groceries. I am baffled by it. I am an aficionado of booze, and I don't even refer to alcohol as groceries.

His die hard fans will tell you its because people get carded to buy booze and cigarettes, or maybe to use a check, or maybe to use a credit card...but the truth is what I posted above - Russians use ID to buy groceries, and Trump's Russian speech writers didn't know we don't.
