Just have to vent...

I just watched a cute Youtube video that came across FB. A 2-year old boy is fascinated with the garbage man and likes to come out at pick-up time to watch. This time, he brought treats for the men, and the garbage man (there has to be a better word for him, sorry) picked the boy up, talked to him, and showed him around, etc. Very sweet.

The first comment under the video was also going along sweetly. Another garbage man had a similar experience... little boy would meet him, they'd toss a football back and forth, then he'd have to leave. Then, he changed his route so he'd be at that house at his lunch break, and he'd spend more time with the boy. Then, the boy wasn't there for a few weeks in a row. The man went to the house and found out the boy had cancer. He and the other city workers did a big fundraiser, then, at christmas, they decorated the truck up, had a Santa and gifts and brought the money to the family. There were a lot of people, everyone was moved, etc. I was so touched! It was truly uplifting! Then the last sentence...

"God is great."

AAAAAAARRRRRRRGGG! You good people did the GOOD stuff! God gave the kid CANCER!!!! Why can't good people just realize that they're good people? Why can't they take credit for the good that they do?

Or....is it that they DO take credit inwardly, and throw out a kudos to god to give the appearance of humility?

Giving away the responsibility for what you do good, is as self destroying as giving away the responsibility for what you do wrong....then theres people like Trump.

These people have a very good heart and for some reason they do not realize they did the good not some god.

I think it's more the latter, although that's not always the case.
