I've had three spinal surgeries between January and February, and now have a fourth one coming up. I usually post updates on Facebook for family and friends, and ignore the usual "Sending Thoughts & Prayers!" replies. I opted, instead, to create a "Wish List" on Amazon, and directed everyone to that list if they wanted to help out. To my surprise, packages started arriving. Much better use of resources than ineffective "thoughts & prayers". Something I can actually use.
