My shih tzu decided to snuggle against me in bed last night instead of sleeping on his pillow at the foot. He woke me this morning with snuffling and snorting in my right ear as well as shifting about and pushing up against me. He also licks the windows and furniture. Meanwhile, dogs on the internet are riding horses...
I have a pug shitzu named Alfie very very tiny little brains and huge huge hearts
I have a shih Tzu and let him sleep in my room but not on my bed. He's learned that if he shakes his collar with the tags on it, that it will wake me up. I don't have kids but I suspect this is how toddlers behave. I never worry about over sleeping because he wakes me before the alarm goes off.
I have 2 Shih Tzus, one sleeps on the bed, one doesn't. The one that doesn't is too "active" for me to have him on the bed while I'm sleeping. I tend to wake up at movement or noise, even though I wear earplugs when I sleep. They both seem fine with this arrangement. My dogs get groomed regularly and, though they recently had a flea problem (1st time), it seems to be under control now and didn't affect the bedding as far as I can tell. My boy that sleeps on the bed snores rather loudly, but usually sleeps at the foot of the bed, so it's not a big issue.
I like dogs but not enough to let one into my bed! I currently don’t have a dog, but do have a cat and if he isn’t put out at night he jumps up on my bed and I have a disturbed night sleep. I therefore make sure he is out before I retire. I know cats are nocturnal creatures and dogs are not, but how on earth can you get a good night’s sleep with animals either in or on the bed?
It is nice to feel my fox terrier next to me at night. She doen't bother me a bit.
@Marine To each their own!
I actually sleep in my recliner and my puppy sleeps with me sometimes depending on how Restless I feel and I'll be honest with you my dog is cleaner than most people
@Drsmash253 I don’t doubt that!
