I am not remotely on your radar, either geographically or romantically, however I hear your angst and would like to try to help. Perhaps joining some sort of group closer to home, i.e. a hobby or sports group, or a gardening club as I see you list that as a hobby. I appreciate that in the USA distances can be vast between what looks close on the map, but in reality is a tortuous journey! Another way of meeting new people is volunteering, in my experience of this there is usually quite a high ratio of women to men....so that could be fruitful. Just by widening your group of acquaintances you increase the likelihood of meeting someone with whom you could form a relationship. I wish you the best of luck in your quest, I hate to think of anyone with love to give going without it!

I understand!!! I would think that as big as California is, there would be more people locally. I have had the same experience. I wish I had an answer; I can only commiserate.
