So there is this project I've been thinking about doing, and I'd like to have some people do this experience with me. Some may say it's a bit dangerous. That's why I want to do this in a group. I'm calling it homeless for the weekend. I want to help raise peoples awareness of the homeless epidemic in this country. Especially the homeless veterans who served this country. We all see it. People living on the streets, begging. There isn't enough services for these people in need. Women are especially at risk in this male dominated situation. I have been homeless before. But not to the extent of living on the streets, and begg2 for food, beverage and money. The elements really take a toll on these folks. Not all who are homeless are on drugs or are mentally unstable. But yes. There is a lot of that too. I live in Gulfport Mississippi. My work takes me to New Orleans every night. I see it every night. Often I'll carry extra bottled water with me and hand it out to the guys begging at the intersections I stop at. They are bery appreciative. A cold fresh bottle of water when it's 90 degrees is a welcomed hand out. If any of you would like to join me in this experiment and live near New Orleans. Let me know.
