The same point was raised, early on, when Obama said he wanted to shut down Gitmo.

The reason Republicans can't govern lies in the fact that they HATE change and continually look to the past ( the 50's and Reagan ) for their ideas. They have no idea how to plan for the future because of this living in the past philosophy. CHANGE IS INEVITABLE!
