I always am careful about these because there are "church sign generators" online that let you create realistic church signs that say anything.
But it is plausible that a fundamentalist church would say something like this in the real world. And it's an illustration of Poe's Law ... it's almost impossible to distinguish a fundamentalist being unintentionally ironic, and someone making fun of a fundamentalist.
This sign is saying in effect that god's love has one condition -- and it's conveniently vague. "Obeying Christ" really means "agreeing with my interpretation of doctrine about Christ and his demands on his followers". Which, ironically, means you get to be distinctly unloving toward anyone who promotes whatever you define as "sin" or "doctrinal error" -- and claim god's approval for it.
The very definition of contradictory! Well it sums up their entire belief system anyway!!
