I like the concept and think it can foster a positive attitude and from a psychological standpoint that might be what motivates you to put yourself out there for positive change, but the actual validity of the law of attraction itself, I think, is just as unreal as god. However, I really wish it was real. I think it's fun to believe in... but only in the way that I think its fun to believe in santa.
And a little ammendment... its fun to believe in so long as you know its not real. The worst scenario I can think of is that you want something so badly and when you don't get it (even though you law of attraction-ed it) you get depressed and maybe blame yourself for not being good enough
@StrongHappySilly Thank you for your comment!
I'm a firm believer in the Law of attraction but it's not what you think it is. Most people think its an Atm machine that whatever they think they get. That's not it at all. It's actually a spiritual process. When you first start Law of attraction, You get exactly what you don't want. This is a test . You can either give up and get frustrated or continue to search why it's not working. As you continue to search you realize there are negative blocks in your life like unforgiveness, anger etc. that are blocking you from manifesting your desire. You correct these and it still doesn't work so you can either give up again or continue to find out why its not working. As you continue down the path you realize that you are releasing negative thoughts and ideas that are blocking you. You feel so much better and you start to look at the process as wonderful because it's cleared all the negativity from you. Then you have an AHA moment where you realize that the removal of negativity in your life in the real treasure and the material things are just bonuses. You realize that Law of attraction is basically a method to cleanse you and give you positivity so that you will realize that you had the power to create things all along. Once you realize that you have the power to create you are not so desperate for things. You just have a quiet confidence that you will get them and guess what it's amazing that once you get to the point where you are not desperately wanting something you usually get it. Also it gets you to where you don't care if you get things or not you are just so happy without the negativity in your life and realized that whatever situation that you are in now is wonderful.
I just Wikipediaed that. The first two sentences indicate that it is shit. So yeah, very stupid.
Furthermore, it is a subset of “New Thought” which insists that “god” (whatever that’s supposed to be) is everywhere. It’s apparently just 19th century nonsense.
Having a positive attitude of mind can do wonders for your wellbeing and mental health. It can make you seem more welcoming to others and therefore could make you more attractive. It cannot however influence events or change anything beyond this. Thinking negatively , naturally can have the opposite effect. Negativity is not an attractive attribute and can make others want to avoid your company. Beyond that I cannot see how we can possibly have the power to change anything that is controlled by the laws of nature and physics.
I think its ones perception and distillation of how one sees another. For me physical attributes, a smile, friendliness and humor all matter. I have met amazing looking women that made my stomach heave and women with less physical beauty that left me with permanent memories .
Some men and women stack too much on looks. For me all the fox news talking women are hideous in spirit. That's all I see.
You. You are a hottie . Lol
LOL thank you! xoxo
