Have you ever seen a ghost (or supernatural apparition) or ever been in a real haunted house/estate?
Wonder where all these ghosts go, given how many billions of people have died since Homo Sapiens inhabited the earth. What about animals? They have no soul and we are just the lucky ones?!
Large Hadron Collider would have found ghosts if they exist, apparently...
Yes, since I grew up in one. The house had a previous owner when my grandparents purchased it in the 30's. My grand mothers mother died in one of the rooms. It never felt threatening, more like mischievous, letting us know it was there. Doors opening and closing, tv's turning on and off, things there one second, gone the next, the back again. One of my brothers friends stayed in the room my grand mothers mother died in. He and my brother were out, he decided to come back without him. Later, he heard the door open, called out my brother's name thinking it was him returning, no one answered, then he heard footsteps going up stairs to the room my brother was sleeping in, called out his name again, no answer, turned on the lights and no one was there. He would never sleep in that room again. The house is gone now, torn down, replaced with a new home.
I’d inherited then spent the following 33 years on my family’s homestead in the deep woods. Several had died in the creaky old farmhouse that became mine. Early 20’s, and still exploring ideas, I ‘challenged’ any ‘spirits’ to haunt me - show themselves ..or whatever they do. Hell, we’d have been related - so speak to me, please. None, nothing, and never… not my little family, and not at the pond, the ol’ outhouse, the dark creek, former gold mine, distant well house, ancient orchards, old barns or abandoned roads…
Twenty-something acres of scary, but never a peep… We had friends afraid to step outside at night, one having described it “Like the Blair Witch Project.” But it didn’t take long to lump the ghost stuff into the same bag of make believe humans have packed through time … no gods, no ghosts ~
I once saw something that some people might call a ghost; however, I believe that given sufficient data it could be shown to have been an illusion. I've been in many houses that are supposedly haunted (indeed, the lane where I live, which was part of the grounds of a 16th Century mansion which sill stands in rather reduced grounds on the other side of the lane, is said to be haunted).
