I inheirited some land on the Canadian border in Minnesota. In September we are going up there to look at it, my brother wants to camp. Maybe one night, I'll spend the rest of the time trying to determine if it can be monetized. If not, what it's worth. Anybody know of anything to do up there? I'm going to stay in Duluth overnight then on to the land. What would you guys do with it? 40 acres of wood 40 miles west of International Falls, 2 miles from the border.
Sell it. I-Falls regularly sees -70 or worse temperatures in the winter, which lasts for about six months. I lived in Duluth for 15 years and it was bad enough, there, unless you really enjoy witnessing the heat death of the universe.
International Falls is lovely, it’s been years but I remember going with a group to the Thunderbird Lodge for local cuisine. Have fun!
Gracious..I hope you preserve the forest and land. I hate when people bulldoze and turn everything into a parking lot to make more profits, while the world ecology goes to ruin.
Speak to a competent realtor who has worked in the area for many years and then double check his opinion. That's up by Lake of the Woods, pretty country in summer, colder than a witch's tit the rest of the year and a long way from pretty much everywhere.
