I have posted here about the need to curb our exuberance in condemning as stupid every believer on the planet. This article in the Post is an excellent example of why there is reason to be willing to work with believers to reach political goals. If we exercise groupthink to discount them all, are we any better than the religion we reject? Here's the article:
I liked the article and it’s a pity other churches of all denominations and faiths don’t realise it’s in their interest and those of the local people that they serve to cooperate with each other. We all have to live together in our local communities and we have more in common with each other than where we go on a Sunday or not at all. The only way to take on the corporations and big shots is by combining in collective strength. I agree entirely with what you say. I have already called out group think on this site....it is not a sign of freethinking.. ..quite the reverse. Thinking outside of the box or critical thinking is sometimes woefully lacking in some of the posts.
