I've just joined this site in the hopes of making some interesting "interested" friends. Raised in Dublin, Ireland, bi-lingual (live in Montreal), still working as a psychologist and thinking of retirement in a couple of years (bit scary)!! Very contented with my life and have a great family three adult children who gave me 4 grandchildren who never fail to delight me!! Feel very grateful for my life. Love working, learning, cooking, netflix, swimming in my pool and yearly trips to Caribbean (mainly). I learn from spending time with humorous, intelligent people who aren't threatened by differences in beliefs, and opinions - very open to new perspectives on life and its meaning and purpose.

Hello and welcome....you sound like just our cup of tea (I’m a Brit.). I live just up the road from where you were raised, in Co Tyrone in Northern Ireland. I hope you find the site as enjoyable as I do, and look forward to hearing your points of view.
Welcome. My dad, born 1919, was 2nd generation Irish, so I heard many stories passed to him by his uncles. We even have a cave system named for the family up North. So, all Irish are welcome. My dad was not a religious man; at his funeral my son remarked, "If Pop-Pop had a god, it was FDR."
Great to have you on here. Ere are many groups for all kinds of interests. I’d recommend finding a few that resonate with you. It’s cool to have a place in this world where you can avoid the “religion” factor but that said there are a lot of folk who can take that to extremes. I tend to look it in a zen sort of way, I don’t believe it so I don’t really acknowledge it from any angle.?. I hope you enjoy it here.
