Weirdly, I can't vote....I always do 3 miles over the speed limit except in residential zones where I obey the limites. My last ticket was in 2003. So I must be doing something right.

It takes one nasty ticket for the insurance company to love you like crazy and rise premium to the freaking roof !!... So, nope. Be cool is the wise thing to do. It's OK to push your luck from time to time just for the kicks but overall, watch it

I would love to say I obey every limit but in truth I tend to be about 10mph over on motorways and dual carriageways (70 limit). With urban areas I stick to the limit 99% of the time occasionally creeping over.

I used to drive very fast, I once did a run on the highway and never dropped below 110 mph for 2 hours in a bit of a race with a Nova SS on my way to a ski trip in Vermont. These days I tend to keep it within 10 mph of the limit because that keeps me in the flow of traffic and avoids getting tickets.

I am, what some have called, a "spirited" driver. But I get there safely and courteously !

With a lead foot, I use cruise control to avoid speeding tickets.
