If you have any doubt about global warming, the incredible fires and universal smoke in the western United States and Canada should convince you. We have had no real rain since May here in the Northwest, an area famous for rain. I own forest lands and I am seeing hundred year old mature trees die from the roots (top down and bottom up at the same time) this is mostly a new thing. Insect patterns are completely different. Few flies this year but an explosion of wasps and yellow jackets. Few beetles but a jillion earwigs, usually the reverse. The water sources, the glaciers on Mt Hood and Mt Adams are disappearing and the dry season doesn't end till late October. It's here!
