Weed. For or against? Why? And where? How much? Just kidding. Thoughts on the subject?
Society desperately needs to learn the difference between crime and vice. Prosecute crime, counsel against vice.
All of the so-called "recreational" pharmaceuticals should be legal, regulated and available OTC. This will:
No interest in it for recreational or medicinal. It will be legal here nationwide in October. I don't care to try or use it. Everyone else pretty much already does so it's just a matter of the government making money out of it. I don't particularly care if other people use it, as long as they use it responsibly.
No longer smoke the herb. Once in over 3 decades. Don't do medicines either so the medicine aproach to weed is nil in me. But for those that believe... hey there is people that Swear there is a god. There is people that find help in alcohol. Don't mind those that smoke recreational, medicinal. Never been commited to anything Forever, I don't think I ever will. Don't care for the weed.
I have never done it, and besides, I don't particularly like it
I am not opposed to legalization of marijuana and responsible use. I still don't care for it, but I occasionally drink, and it's well documented that alcohol has a lot more negative consequences than weed and none of its b benefits.
its a fine plant slowly getting over its reefer madness bullshit, with regard to the many miracle claims put forward sure why not a few more years of proper testing and the truth should become better known as to what it actually helps and what can be put down to placebo effect
My longtime conclusion on ‘weed’ was, it makes an adventure out of brushing your teeth. But after cleaning water pipes.. I had no desire to have that gunk inside my lungs. As I age, mental clarity is a source of pride, not how far from it I can get…
‘Weed’ magnified my anxiety, so it was never a ‘mellow trip.’ Fun, lots of laughs, but having challenged myself to achieve those laughs ..unencumbered is more appreciated by others and myself.
Much less dangerous than alcohol. I no longer use either. Government has no business in people's personal lives.
Echoing others on here I agree weed needs to be legalised in fact all drugs should be. Maybe history will look back on the war on drugs as an unmitigated disaster and how did we as a society allow for so much financial wastage and the criminality of people using drugs the same as one would alcohol or tobacco. Yet here we are where governments direct us towards legal drugs and wasting the massive opportunity to reduce crime, regulate and control the strength and purity and most importantly have revenues to educate and alleviate serious addiction.
Will we ever get there?
Don't care that much about marijuana per se.
It would be great to see all drugs legalized, regulated and taxed. Then the money we waste on the "War on Some Drugs" could be put to good use, non-violent drug offenders with good records inside prison (meaning no assault or drug offenses behind bars) could be released and we would save a crapload of money that way, gangs would lose a lot of power since currently they have a lot of influence based on the drug trade.... the pass-along effects would be incalculable.
Why Not?
Because I work for the State in a drug-tested position, is why not, and as long as it's a Federal crime, I can't come up positive in a random test. Otherwise, I might experiment once or twice to see what the big deal is.
And maybe my ex-mom in law might get some relief from her chemo side effects if it were legal. But maybe not, because she's so straitlaced anyway.
@GreatNani While it is true under Michigan law that marijuana is legal for medicinal use, it's not legal under federal law for any use. State employees can't violate federal law. That's just how it is. And while some can get away with it because they aren't in tested positions, I'm in a law enforcement career and subject to random testing.
For that matter, pot is "legal" in the city limits of Ann Arbor, in the sense that the police, for years now, just won't bust you for it as long as you're over 21 I believe and in your private residence while you're smoking.
Hi, ART, and welcome to the website!
Yeah..we're all for it, and it cures diseases also.
By the way, this website has a bit of a learning curve.
For members who are open to dating, certain thumbnails and profiles have a heart symbol on them with a percentage. This identifies which members are open to dating, and the percent shows approximately how compatible others are with them.
You can improve your website score in general by answering all the profile questions and writing a bio, which also earns website points, and helps other members get to know you.
Commenting on posts and writing your own posts earns more points. At level two you can private message people, and at level eight you get an agnostic T-shirt.
If you want to date, the website uses profile algorithms to find member matches, so the more details one includes, the better the match.
Many people prefer to see a written profile talking about interests, hobbies, and backgrounds that can be quickly perused to find others who are compatible with them.
In case you didn't know yet, to find members near you, click on the "Browse" button at the top of the page, then on "Members," and enter your preferred search parameters.
Click on the "Discuss" button, then "Nearby" to find members near you also.
Or click on the "About" button at the top left of the page to find links to FAQ or the website tutorial.
Points are now being given to level 3+ members who chat. You can see chat rooms on the group main page or at [agnostic.com].
