It's all a bit odd really. I don't believe in God or the other fella or their respective minions. I am lead by cold hard evidence. No evidence? Find some or stop talking about it is pretty much my view. 'Aint nobody got time for that....
Yet this morning after another bit of 'bad luck' I found myself revisiting the time an old Gypsy woman selling flowers literally cursed me in the street. It was not in English so I don't know what she actually said, but she didn't look happy and her finger was pointing and wagging. Her eyes were closed and she shaking with rage. It was all very colourful, as was my language in response. I'm English but my language could be described as French. All because I didn't want any 'lucky heather'
Since that day my 'luck' has ranged from the almost endless annoying little things that go wrong or just don't happen to a couple of life changing events. Like I say, I am a logical man. I don't believe in curses or bad luck so I'm not sure why my mind went back there. It was only briefly but the desire to find a supernatural reason for my misfortunes was real. I slap it back into shape pronto but it got me to thinking. Is that what faith is like? You don't question you just give in without having had any kind of logic fight?
The small problems are pretty much explainable. Bad choices has to be top of my list (It's not a crime) Todays 'calamity' was a set of four propellers delivered. Two of which don't fit. Then, two of the screw heads sheared trying to tighten the two that did. On it's own it's just annoying but this happens on a regular basis so there has to be a reason. The reason is I am cheap (through necessity) and ordered cheap Chinese products.
No Gypsy curse. Just circumstances and ironic coincidence
