I swear I have better luck progressing relationships with religious girls... But I've also met so few nonreligious girls. Where all the atheists at?
I recently told someone I could likely ‘meet someone’ (in my adopted small town) PDQ if I were to attend any of ..too many churches But I’m too damn honest..
As an aging atheist, I’d always felt women (aka girls) had what appeared to them as more important fights than picking another with religion. Neither of my two sisters were/ are religious, but unlike my brother & I, had no desire to attend the local Atheist meetings… At those meetings, one ‘girl’ to ..maybe 15 guys…
So, as women continue to win a few battles, I cirtenly notice them ‘stepping up’ to take on religion like never before. Even at that ..I’d now guess an ‘active ratio’ of 5 guys to 1 girl. I consider them, not only the best, but the smartest. Having told my daughters, if you want to be surrounded by guys - grab a skateboard (they did).. Same thing here
I'm a whippersnapper so I say girls and guys but I mean women, no disrespect haha. I've never participated in the atheist community I've just always been atheist. It meant a bit more to me when I was a kid but now it's just a thing. I'd really like to find another atheist though because it isn't going to help having that difference in a relationship. I have NO plans on my kids being raised with religion and don't need to have that fight. As far as the ratio it's good to hear that's beginning to balance out.
@KyleLubbockTX A ‘whippersnapper,’ love it. I made sure I married an atheist, though that (at the time) really shrunk the pool of eligibility.. And, it remains something we have in common, beside our atheist daughters. ..oh ...to snap that whip again ~
We are at work, traveling or at home. Perhaps your relationships with religious women work because they have more conservative views on complying with gender norms and set out to please. Atheist women are a bit more rebellious free thinkers with who tend to think they are please themselves. You’ll fit into our lives, not the other way round. Dudes can’t seem to handle strong independent women.
Austin area. Put yourself on bumble or something. My girl is atheist, 20, but has no interest in joining this site.
I've been on tinder and bumble for nearly 3 years. That's how I got my first date, when I was 21... Haha. I'm actually from around Austin, 18 years there.
Hi, Kyle, and welcome to the website!
Maybe you can meet some atheist women here.
By the way, this website has a bit of a learning curve.
For members who are open to dating, certain thumbnails and profiles have a heart symbol on them with a percentage. This identifies which members are open to dating, and the percent shows approximately how compatible others are with them.
You can improve your website score in general by uploading a clear, recent photo of just your own face, answering all the profile questions and writing a bio, which also earns website points, and helps other members get to know you.
Commenting on posts and writing your own posts earns more points. At level two you can private message people, and at level eight you get an agnostic T-shirt.
If you want to date, the website uses profile algorithms to find member matches, so the more details one includes, the better the match.
Many people prefer to see a written profile talking about interests, hobbies, and backgrounds that can be quickly perused to find others who are compatible with them.
In case you didn't know yet, to find members near you, click on the "Browse" button at the top of the page, then on "Members," and enter your preferred search parameters.
Click on the "Discuss" button, then "Nearby" to find members near you also.
Or click on the "About" button at the top left of the page to find links to FAQ or the website tutorial.
Points are now being given to level 3+ members who chat. You can see chat rooms on the group main page or at [agnostic.com].
Thanks for the insight, yeah it is a little confusing. Seems like this is more of a chat forum than a dating up but I'll see how it goes for a while.
@KyleLubbockTX You can message women and ask them out, but the problem for most is that it's a new website, so compatible dating prospects might not be plentiful where you live.
Find a "good" Mormon girl; she'll pray with you after sex.
I'm actually talking to someone that's still registered with the church but is a non-believer now haha
