Pet peeves on this website:

  1. Men who don't read women's profiles before messaging them, and wasting their time.

  2. People who don't post profile photos, or fill out profiles. I feel ill at ease, wondering who they are.

  3. People who post animals, young children, or objects in place of profile photos. I can't even tell what gender they are, if any.

  4. People who show several people in a profile photo. I suppose we're supposed to guess which one they are. No thanks.

My first impulse is to block the ones without profile photos or written profiles. I don't know who or what they are, and it's creepy talking to them.
Weird they'd do such a thing on a dating website.

I'm finding the same issues on Match.com and OKCupid.com. A number of men apparently see the photo and don't read further. Thus I get religious Trumpers, guys half my age, and sports fanatics with cats, when I make it clear I'm allergic to cats and sports. I've learned not to respond at all rather than try to point out the obvious reasons we're not a match.

i suppose on your end there are a lot that want a 3-way....a relationship with somebody that has a relationship with god.

While I agree with you in general , not everyone is here for the dating bit . Some are here just for community . I believe you can select not to see , be seen by those who do not post a photo .

True, but it still creeps me out to talk to someone without a profile photo or profile. It's like talking to a ghost. - no way to know where they're coming from.

@birdingnut Just so you don't think you are talking to a ghost, this is me.

Just don't show everyone!!! 😉 Took me a while to work out that it wouldn't load due to being too big a file. This is the reduced version!

I have never blocked anyone, haven’t needed to and I am not here for dating so a couple of your peeves don’t apply in my case, however I have already made a post regarding the lack of bio or photograph. I think the icon on the non photo profiles looks kind of sinister and I feel like I’m corresponding with a cipher when responding to them. As far as animals, symbols or group photos ...they don’t bother me, Im sure there is a reason why they chose them, but the blank ones I find creepy!

I haven't got a profile picture because I'm not here for dating and I expect my words to do the talking.

You can imagine me however you like then. 😉

That is me in the photo though and I don't send unsolicited messages either.
