USB 1 took ages to transfer.....usb2 . Took a 3 tb limit transfer....usb 3 ...wow...or is this just me for transfer speed....will there be a usb 4...lol

Level 6

There are 2 versions of USB3. 3.1 gen 1 which is what most devices are, & 3.1 gen 2 which is pretty rare at this point. Gen 2 is twice as fast as gen 1. All said, it's hard for me to use USB2 devices anymore.

In all probability , USB4 was created before USB3 was marketed . Salesmanship includes planned obsolesence .
