The reason for Trump is directly because of religion. Why? Because religions condition people to believe without questioning. In fact "believing" is a dead end to thinking. It often means, "I have thought this particular view of the universe through to a comforting place and I will not question or try to see more and I will defend this mind set forever."

So it is simple to observe how Trump has so much support from religious extremists. It is find to hope something might be true, but to just give up your mind and believe is the death of progress.

The universe is not only observably changing all the time, there are things appearing, seemingly out of nowhere, that change the whole perception of the universe. Why get stuck in one mindset?
