How do we address the christian Templeton Foundation with a $3.2 billion endowment that provides grants and prizes larger than the Nobel Peace to religious groups and academic philosophy that centers on bringing religion and science together with the emphasis on religion. This foundation has simply bought scientists, teachers and educators.
This Foundation has had a pernicious effect in every field it penetrates. In addition as of late it has become more evangelical in it's beliefs.
It's just garden-variety influence-peddling and everyone does it to the extent they can. If you had $3.2 billion, admit it, you'd set up a competing foundation to buy (incentivize is probably a kinder word) people against religious views.
I wish that just putting out a sound argument based on critical thinking would inexorably win the day, but the truth is that money talks and bullshit walks.
