My oven and stove use propane gas. When I cook the carbon builds up. I have tried to look this up already. Is there a trick to keep the carbon off the pots and pans? It is a black mess when I wash the cooking implements.

A camping trick I learned a long time ago , might help . When using pots to cook over an open fire , spread some dish soap , undiluted all over the outside of the pans . When you're done cooking, and eating , use the dish soap on the pan in the sink to wash them . All gone !

The orifice that feeds the propane is probably to large for the burners. A propane store could probably help you find the right size orifice.

As far as I know, propane is clean-burning, producing only CO2 and water vapor. If it's producing soot, it probably isn't mixing with air properly, i.e. not enough air/oxygen.

Lift the top of the stove and there will be air holes in the pipe going to the burner. Your air/propane ration is off and there should be a way to adjust this. perhaps a small tab with a screw to adjust the amount of air. The flame should be blue with just a hint of yellow at the flame tip sometimes. Too much yellow and you're producing carbon with the flame.

Thank you I will do that very thing.

Look up "How to remove carbon from pots and pans?"

There are cleaning products galore. Quora has ideas from different people:

The cleaning is a no brainer. Looking for a way to reduce the residue.
