I'm not sure when it happened but, I think I grew up. I've stopped hiding what I do from my parents... now I'm hiding what I do from my kids.

I told my 30 year old that I was likely to be unemployed and not intending to look for a job immediately. I thought she was gonna have a stroke. When did my 30 year old daughter become an adult, and my mother no less! It took a few weeks but she has come around, but it was an interesting conversation. She was concerned about my retirement savings/investments and insurance. So grown up. She thinks she doesn't want to be a parent, honey you already are one.

Don't hide anything from anyone.

Oh the New Year's Day my Dad told us Kid's "We'll we had a really fun night too!".

Ha!

Welcome to adulthood!

Pretty sure we all took our hungover semi-adult selves off to another room for impromptu therapy. First cousins and all.

Yep, came to the same conclusion many years ago but my kids are adults now and I stopped hiding stuff. Now, however, I have a grandson so will begin the hiding stuff all over again.
