Why is your 3-year old child or grandchild in bed with you at 3 AM? This is not a critique - it's just different from how I was raised or raised my children and grandchildren and so I simply don't understand.

She lives with me most of the time. Was crying all night and crawled into bed with me. And then BAM!
It's a post like this that make me really glad that my son's a 30 year old grown adult

this was my granddaughter. And I am way too old for this stuff now. 
@GreatNani my son is a confirmed Bachelor and he's an only child so I honestly don't think I'm going to get any grandkids
@Drsmash253 As long as he is happy that is all that really matters.
@GreatNani you know he is a wonderful young man and he is the apple of my eye and considering how bad things can go and how badly some young people are turning out in this era I am feel myself fortunate every day that I have turned out such a good man despite all my screw-ups
@Drsmash253 That is a lovely thing to say about your child! I hope you tell him so! Everyone needs to know their parents think they are great!
Because then it wouldn't be as vivid a memory, or post fodder. Erma Bombeck made a career out of these observations. Then again, it might be easier for me to be glass-half-full about this because I'm a little removed from the actual chore of cleanup. My apologies.

Ha! Yes, I managed to avoid that this time. Had her in the bathroom for the second round!
@GreatNani Congratulations. Were you able to get any sleep at all?
@ladyprof70 very little. Prior to that she had been crying off and on all night. We fell asleep around 4, up at 8
@GreatNani It's going to be a looooong day, I suspect. I don't miss those days. My daughter is an adult. I do miss some of the fun times, though.
@ladyprof70 yes, long day and I am a little too old for this now Actually, I never enjoyed this part.
@GreatNani I never did like dealing with someone else's bodily fluids.
