Since we're the fortunate ones who can sleep in on Sunday and not attend church services. What do you do with your Sunday mornings?

I do what I want

I love your attitude! Its your life. You should do what you want!
#YOLO

@StrongHappySilly I actually stole that line from Cartman off of South Park

@Drsmash253 oh yeah! Now that you say that i recognize it. Just another deep wise quote from south park!

I’m up early with my dogs. Eat breakfast, read the local paper and the New York Times. Then weather permitting I go for a nice jog/walk session. After that depends upon what else I need to do !

Just relaxed. Nice laid back routine

1

Sleep in, walk the dog, feed the fish, feed the dog, get back in bed, waste time on social media, water the plants, (maybe) smoke some weed, do whatever the fuck I want...

I can't wait to retire from my job so i don't get tested for marijuana. Then I'd you!

I can say this: today, as some Sundays I met my very good friend (yes, girlfriend) at a coffee shop, which gets very crowded around 10AM.

I try to get there before church lets out

1

Drink coffee and read a book.

What are you reading right now?

@StrongHappySilly The Complete Sherlock Holmes. It's every Sherlock Holmes story written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle compiled into one gigantic volume. I have been reading it off an on for a couple years when I'm in between novels.

1

Drink coffee, read the news, cut the grass, exercise.

Coffee seems to be a unifying factor for most of us

@StrongHappySilly now, if there were a religion based on coffee, I may be persuaded. LOL

@Ubergooroo uhhh...yes!!!

I'll tell you what I do NOT do... RUSH! I lollygag at home as much as I want: sleep in, eat the breakfast of my choice, leisurely sip on the most awesome cup of coffee or tea that I feel up to preparing, and spoil my cats with cat nip and string or feather play.

Make your own schedule, get to things when you can. Nice

I got up, had breakfast, played a couple of crossword puzzles to get my mind going and then I fired up my backhoe and helped a neighbour by moving a bunch of pallets full of heavy landscaping blocks from his front yard where they were delivered to his back yard where he needs them.

Sounds like a productive Sunday

...some of us will never get beyond backhoe envy 😉

@Varn Komatsu WB-150 Extendahoe, I used it to build my house by myself, except for the plumbing, I really hate plumbing. Surprising what one man and a mechanical sidekick can do.

Work. I work everyday. Start running as soon as I get out of bed. Oh, and my dogs wake me up around 5 am.

Working everyday? What do you do?

@StrongHappySilly I own a pet boarding business. It’s prerty much 24/7 work.

@graceylou if you're an animal lover i guess it's a lot of work but at least you love what you do

@StrongHappySilly I have a lot of my own pets too so it’s constant.

2

You called it - sleep in 😉 ...though, with some early morning starts.. my circadian rhythms are apparently set to early 😕 ...then I come here ~

group a little bit like a drug at times, isn't it?

Praise the Lord for.....wait, shit that didn't come out right....MORE COFFEE PLEASE !!!!!!! ???

And start the day with a sense of humor. Love it!

I get up and worship my coffee as I worship my computer. Later today I will worship the Netflix series "Ozark." I check my messages and worship an adult site. I'm always updating my many programs and fixes to perform at the max without problems. It's a big job and a daily job. I do damned near anything on computer and I'm self taught. An ex boss of mine gave me lessons every day after work when I first got computer. Now I'm my own IT tech. lol
Sometimes a little booze or something helps.

Just started "Ozark"--what a ride!

4

I woke up at 4:30 to go to work.

JimG Level 8 Sep 9, 2018

What job do you do?

@StrongHappySilly Quality Control Technician. My company is a 24/7 operation.

5

?? I've been up since 4:30 working on a consulting job online.... and then checked guests out of the BnB just 30 minutes ago -- stripped the beds, started laundry, vacuumed the two bedrooms, living room, and dining room, washed and dried breakfast dishes and put them away....

In two hours I'll head out to a Buddhist meeting and by then the BnB will totally be clean and reset for the next guests.

Day off? What's that? LOL

No rest for the weary

5

Yuk! What do you do?

@StrongHappySilly hospitality. I'm a concierge.

@JeremyTaylor yeah i guess that a job needed on weekends also

@StrongHappySilly very much so. But then again I've never had a job that wasn't 24/7/365 so my perception may be a bit distorted on the matter.

4

Lay in bed, read, coffee.

What do you read?

@StrongHappySilly The paper, The New Yorker which always piles up! Or whatever book I am reading at the moment. For some reason, I have been reading a lot of non fiction lately.

5

You mean...after I look in to see what YOU all are thinking? 🙂 I do behavioral research observations on elephants for the zoo. It's fun.

A good laugh gets my Sunday started off in the best way

4

I no longer get the Sunday anxiety that Monday is a work day. It's taken years of retirement to get that out of my system.

After 7 years I am going back to part time work. No teaching though, and I did love it. Working with After school autistic children.

4

I get up a bit late, make coffee, listen to NPR, then cook a hot breakfast, get washed up and do whatever chore strikes my fancy. In the fall, it's usually getting the garden fixed up and firewood.

Same thing I do on Sundays, except the garden.

Had a routine that a neighbor and I went to the early Sunday morning matinee at the local theaters . Trying to resurrect that with another neighbor , who is caring for her husband , who is operating at about the 2 year old level , since his last stroke . She needs a little , "time off ," now and then .

You're a good friend!

@LucyLoohoo Thank you !

That's fun! And its really great of you to reach out to your friend
I had to take care of my elderly gma for a while. Once can get depressed. Having a friend like you would make all the difference!
