I dated a string of Christian guys in college, and it was fine because I knew it wasn’t long term. I couldn’t have reared kids with someone who had such different values.

It will not work out if both take their spiritual side seriously. I too married a catholic who was not too religious. Then when the kids come along watch out. Your position is considered without anything as their god is absolutely necessary for baptism. You will loose that fight. Then when the church services begin to involve your life, you go along due to the children but then you are being not true to yourself or the kids. I stood up and finally asked for a divorce. My kids are older now and do not attend church. After all the shit about being necessary the children opt out anyway, OUr way is the correct way to make an beautiful soul.

As a fellow bluegrass resident, I feel you. There aren't many people, especially single women, around from our neck of the woods. I'm here with zero expectations. There's a few success stories here but as far as dating maybe have a few side sites.

Not sure about the dating part. Seems like some people get lucky.
