Rachel Maddow was playing some of the Anita Hill stuff. How the hell are we going through this again? And How the hell is a woman't right to make personal decisions still being debated? And How the hell are we dealing with republican election crap? I am just beyond embarrassed to admit that I ever leaned (and was in fact registered) republican. Fortunately, I saw the light in the 90s with their despicable behavior. Now, as fas as I'm concerned, that party has lost it's right to exist.
Why were you a Republican in your prior life?
Yah I know....not a thing to be proud of. Although it wasn't like it is now.
@GreatNani I think for me, it was partly where I was living..in Indiana...quite a conservative and (coincidentally?!?!?) less educated place. When I returned to Pa...itself not exactly a bastion of liberal thought, but worlds apart from where I was, it was like a blindfold was removed. That was in the early 90s...still to come was the reprehensible behavior of Newt et al during the Clinton years. That was pretty much it for me, although I would still occasionally vote for decent repubs. Now, you couldn't pay me to vote for ANY repub. I only recently changed voter registration from I to D, in order to vote in Pa's closed primary.
What is going on in my opinion is that if Kavanaugh gets in and we later end up with an all GOP Supreme Court it would be easy to reverse Roe v. Wade and then get rid of taxpayer funding for women's healthcare and shut down these clinics. Politically they are called "abortion clinics" but this is the disguise to get the religious involved. The goal once again is to reduce the tax burden of the top 1 percent.
Next we have the worry of whether Trump would be able to pardon himself or not. IF the Supreme Court is all GOP it might turn out that he could. I would view this as a dictatorship but many within the GOP would like to see this "pardoning ability" so they could continue with the unholy agenda they have going. Nixon was unable to pardon himself but laws can be changed even if crooks do the changing.
CANNOT PARDON HIMSELF
