My best friend from HS invited me to his grandson’s bris. I was circumcised by a mohel and the thought of being mutilated for no good medical reason disgusts me.
I declined the invitation since the bris was a day drive away. However, I didn’t tell my friend what I thought of circumcising an infant on just religious grounds. I would have declined even if the bris was in my town.
[mensjournal.com] you may still maintain your opinion that circumcision is not a good thing, but to state categorically that there is "no good medical reason" is incorrect. you may weigh the importance against the lack thereof of the medical reasons that exist, but you cannot correctly say they do not exist.

I also didn't allow my son to be circumcised-seemed abusive/barbaric to me.
I figured if he later decided he wanted to do it to fit in with others, it would be his decision.
