Look at my question on "Doom-Wop". The group was predicated on Bowies death.

I wish he hadn't passed so early, I was just getting into his music.

My favorite from him was... Let's Dance... it was my disco days!!!

Stevie Ray Vaughn did the lead guitar work on that song. Bowie helped get him noticed and get his career moving with that album.

@Duke Dang it!!! I was going to say ALL of that! I believe Bowie first saw him in 1982, at the Montreux Jazz Festival. The rest, as they say, is history.

@KKGator Beautiful minds with good memory think alike. I know there was Nile Rodgers from Chic helping out a lot too.

I was lucky enough to see that song live during the Let's Dance tour - about 1983 or 1984. One of the best shows I ever saw.
